Meet Amy!

Amy TARDIS CroppedAs we announced on Twitter at midnight last night; GallifreyArchive officially has a new member, Amy! She’s super cool and has already written as a guest contributor here, but is officially now a GallifreyArchivist! Before I unleash her amazing writing ability upon you all though, I thought it’d be good to get to know a little more about her!

What was the first episode of Doctor Who you watched?
My first Doctor Who episode was Rose back in 2005.

What is your favourite story?
My favourite episode at the moment is Heaven Sent but it changes frequently. I have many favourites such as Inferno, Genesis of the Daleks, The Seeds of Doom, The Deadly Assassin, The City of Death, The Caves of Androzani, Remembrance of the Daleks, The Curse of Fenric, The Empty Child/ The Doctor Dances, Human Nature/The Family of Blood, Blink, Utopia/The Sound of Drums/The Last of the Time Lords, Silence In The Library/Forest of the Dead, Turn Left, The Waters of Mars, Vincent and the Doctor, The Day of The Doctor, Flatline, Dark Water, The Zygon Invasion/ The Zygon Inversion and Face The Raven.

What is your favourite era?
I love the RTD era as it was the era I grew up with and one of the eras Doctor Who was at its best. However, I do love the Phillip Hinchcliffe era too.

Who is your Doctor?
He may not be my favourite Doctor but my Doctor is the Tenth Doctor as he is the one I remember most from my childhood.

Who is your favourite Doctor?
I think my favourite Doctor is Peter Capaldi yet I also love Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy.

Who is your favourite companion?
My favourite companion is Ace but I also love Donna and Sarah Jane.

Apart from watching the show, how else do you immerse yourself in Doctor Who?
I love listening to Big Finish audios!

Do you think you’d be a good Doctor or companion and why?
I  think I would be a terrible companion because I probably won’t be want to run all the time and constantly asking if there’s wifi in the TARDIS. If I was The Doctor I would be at bottom of the DWM polls.

If you could have one lost episode found, what would it be?
The Power of the Daleks. Mainly because it’s Patrick Troughton’s first story. I also listened to the on audio and telesnaps and I loved it.

When did you first read GallifreyArchive?
I’ve only started reading GallifreyArchive recently. From the good things I’ve seen I will definitely be reading from now on.

What made you want to write for GallifreyArchive?
I wanted to write for GallifreyArchive because I love to talk about Doctor Who and share my opinions on the show with others.

What do you hope to bring to the site?
Hopefully some good articles people will enjoy and more discussions about the show.

Besides Doctor Who, what else do you enjoy?
I also enjoy Rick and Morty, Sherlock, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Star Wars, Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know Amy a bit more, and we can’t wait to see what articles she produces in the near future!

  1. Amy, you sound like a female version of myself. Welcome to Gallifrey Archive, and I look forward to reading some of your articles.
